KHPA Home - About KHPA - KHPA Mission and Vision

Tasked with a mission to develop and maintain a coordinated health policy agenda, the Kansas Health Policy Authority (KHPA) Board has laid out its principles to guide them in this process. The six vision principles were adopted following discussions at past Board meetings.

“These six vision principles are the guiding framework of the Board and the work we intend to accomplish. Ranging from the intent to provide access to care to stewardship and education, these principles give us guidance for our ongoing work and upcoming projects in the future,” said Connie Hubbell, Chair of the KHPA Board.

The KHPA Board is comprised of nine voting members who were selected by the Governor and members of the Kansas Senate and House leadership. It also includes seven ex-officio members as outlined in statute. The role of the Board is to provide governance and thoughtful innovative health policy direction, outside of the spotlight of partisan politics, to advance a collective agenda for health.
