It is a nine-member board, including health care, business, and community leaders appointed by the Governor and the Legislature, as well as seven ex-officio members that include State Cabinet Secretaries and the Director of KHPA. (For further information on the Board click "Kansas Health Policy Authority Board" in the navigation bar on the left of your screen.) On July 1, 2005 the Authority became a state agency.
